Active Senior and Outreach Program
The program provides a broad range of social, recreational and educational activities for seniors to develop an
active and healthy lifestyle in order to enhance their physical, emotional and mental well-being. It is an integral
part of the Yee Hong Centre’s commitment to providing a continuum of care for seniors.
Seniors aged 55 or above are welcome. The programs are also open to people under 55 at higher fees.
- Creative Art & Interest Cultivation - development of personal talents and skills for self-fulfillment
Activities may include: Knitting, beading, Chinese painting, acrylic painting, erhu, guzheng, penjing, Mandarin,
Chinese opera, Chinese calligraphy, singing, keyboard, Chinese knot-making, etc.
- Exercise & Fitness - engagement in regular physical activity and exercise for long-term health benefits
Activities may include: Tai chi, tai chi sword, line dance, Chinese folk dance, fitness class, social dance,
- Social Networking – Participation in social activities for social integration and acceptance
Activities may include: Social gathering, festivities, social group, etc.
- Education & Learning – life-long learning for intellectual stimulation and functioning
Activities may include: Workshops, talks, computer courses, Chronic Disease Self-Management Program, etc.
