Care Ambassador Program
Background
The Care Ambassador Program is designed to provide education and support for caregivers of elderly relatives and family members.
The program receives funding from the Central and Central East Local Health Integration Networks. Services are provided at the Yee Hong Caregiver Education and Resource Centre in Richmond Hill and at the Yee Hong Scarborough-McNicoll Centre.
Yee Hong is collaborating with the University of Toronto, Heart and Stroke Foundation and Alzheimer’s Society to develop Chinese training programs and manuals for caregivers of Alzheimer’s patients and post-stroke survivors.

Eligibility
Individuals who provide care and assistance to elderly relatives/family members, including caregivers of Alzheimer’s patients and stroke survivors.

Referrals are welcome from medical professionals, social workers, family members, friends or clients themselves.
