Community Services
Supportive Housing
Objectives
Supportive Housing is a program that provides seniors with essential support services in a senior
building so that they can cope with daily activities and continue to live independently in the community.
The program aims to enable seniors to age in place or delay institutionalization.
Services
Support services are provided for seniors at Yee Hong Aw Chan Kam Chee Evergreen Manor and Wishing
Well Manor under the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care funding. They include personal care, light
homemaking and timely response to emergencies. Services are free of charge. Eligibility for service is
assessed and determined by the Program Coordinator.
The Yee Hong Centre also provides support services for residents of Villa Elegance and Yee Hong Garden Terrace.
Villa Elegance is a private condominium project jointly developed by Yee Hong and Tridel while Yee Hong Garden
Terrace is a life lease senior complex developed by Yee Hong. Services include 24-hour response to medical emergency,
health monitoring, social and recreational activities, meals-on-wheels, personal care and light homemaking. The services
at Villa Elegance and Yee Hong Garden Terrace are paid by monthly service fees and on a fee-for-service basis.
Eligibility
Currently, support services are only offered to residents at the above sites.
