Yee Hong Aw Chan Kam Chee Evergreen Manor \u2013 Subsidized Housing<\/h1>\r\nCurrently, Yee Hong owns and directly manages one social housing complex, the Yee Hong Aw Chan Kam Chee Evergreen Manor, in Scarborough.\r\n\r\nCompleted in 1993, the Yee Hong Aw Chan Kam Chee Evergreen Manor was bestowed with the first ONPHA Award of Excellence in 1997 by the Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association, recognizing Yee Hong\u2019s outstanding achievement in building a caring community where seniors live an active lifestyle and are supported with personal support and homemaking services. The whole building, including 12 modified units, is designed to be wheelchair accessible.\r\n\r\n
\r\nSubsidized Housing<\/h2>\r\nThere are 130 units of senior apartments with 112 one-bedroom units, 18 two-bedroom units and 26 units of three-bedroom townhouses. Recognizing the tremendous need for affordable housing, Yee Hong is actively seeking new models of providing housing services to seniors in the Greater Toronto Area, despite the government\u2019s withdrawal from funding new subsidized housing.\r\n\r\nA total of 122 apartment units and 22 townhouse units are offered to people who meet the requirement for Rent-Geared-to-Income assistance. For those successful applicants, 30% of their household income will be used for calculation of the subsidized rent.\r\n
Market Rent<\/h2>\r\nA total of 12 apartment units and 6 townhouse units are designated as Market Rent units. Applicants whose annual household income has exceeded the upper limit set by the City of Toronto may apply for Market Rent units and pay the market rent.\r\n
