National Hospice Palliative Care Week, May 3–9, 2026
As we mark National Hospice Palliative Care Week from May 3 to 9, we unite in recognition of the vital support hospice and palliative care provide to individuals and families affected by serious illness. This year’s theme, ‘Palliative Care Everywhere,’ from the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association, reminds us that compassionate care should be accessible to all, regardless of background or circumstance.
At Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care, we honour our unwavering dedication to delivering respectful and dignified services and palliative care across our residence hospice and four long- term care homes. For five years, the Yee Hong Peter K Kwok Hospice has stood as a beacon of empathy and excellence, offering comfort and support to our diverse communities. Our commitment is rooted in understanding, kindness, and a celebration of life in all its stages.
These services are sustained and strengthened by the generosity and collaboration of our community. Every act of support enables us to extend our reach and uplift those who need it most. Together, we are creating a future where palliative care is truly everywhere, ensuring no one faces serious illness alone. Thank you for your trust, your partnership, and your belief in Yee Hong’s mission.
Hear from generous donor Mr. David Maung and members of our hospice team as they share how compassion, respect, and dedication shape the free-of-charge care provided at the Hospice, bringing comfort and dignity at the end of life. You can view this video on YouTube.
