On April 8, 2026, Vice Chair of the Centre’s Board Leslie Woo, CEO Glen Chow, and Foundation President Stephen Siu, together with our senior leadership team and our construction partner, Graham, were proud to share remarks with and tour the Honourable Natalia Kusendova-Bashta, Minister of Long-Term Care, through our newest long-term care home, the Ng Siu Chan Care Centre, currently under development.

Minister Kusendova-Bashta highlighted the importance of expanding access to high- quality, culturally responsive long-term care, and the government’s ongoing commitment to ensuring seniors receive the exceptional care and support they deserve. She also recognized the dedication and compassion Yee Hong brings to the seniors and families we serve.

The Honourable Raymond Cho, Minister for Seniors and Accessibility

On February 23, 2026, the Honourable Raymond Cho, Minister for Seniors and Accessibility, visited the Scarborough Finch campus and along with CEO Glen Chow, Foundation President Stephen Siu, our senior leadership team, and our construction partner, Graham, and completed a tour of the construction site of the Yee Hong Ng Siu Chan Centre.

From bedroom and dining room mock-ups to active construction, the visit highlighted how thoughtful design and quality execution come together to support our seniors in care.

The Yee Hong Ng Siu Chan Care Centre

With approximately 80% of construction now complete and interior work well underway, we are excited to welcome our first 224 residents later this year.

A heartfelt thank you to our construction partner, Graham Ontario, for their dedication in bringing this project to life. This five-storey (plus one level underground), 224-bed home expands our Scarborough campus, helping to meet the growing demand for long-term care beds and strengthening the continuum of care for seniors.

Upon completion, Yee Hong will operate five long-term care homes across the GTA, offering a total of 1,029 beds. Together, we are building a bright future for seniors.

We are grateful to our provincial government, partners, donors, and community for
helping to bring this vision to life and for continuing to support Yee Hong, as together we
strive to improve the lives of seniors.
