Construction

It is exciting to see the progress of the Yee Hong Ng Siu Chan Care Centre as the construction nears completion and Yee Hong prepares to open the home in late 2026.

At this time, more than 75 per cent of the project is complete with much of the construction work now being done on the interior. This includes:

Installation of the green roof and near completion of courtyards
Installation of exterior canopies and balconies/railings
Installation of flooring and painting of walls
Work on fixtures and finishings, such as lighting, plumbing, and handrails
Delivery and placement of kitchen and laundry equipment
Furniture selections
Commissioning of elevators

Operational Readiness

In addition, discussions regarding operational readiness continue. Operational readiness is the process by which an organization prepares to safely and efficiently open and operate a new facility, ensuring that various elements, such as people, processes, systems, and technology, are not only in place but ready to flow smoothly from day one of opening.

At Yee Hong, some of these activities include interviewing and hiring for the many roles needed for the new home, creating orientation sessions for team members who will be working in the Ng Siu Chan Care Centre, ensuring a smooth admission process for residents and their families, and more.
