Happy Nursing Week!

Happy Nursing Week to all of Yee Hong’s incredible nurses and integrated care team members, including personal support workers (PSWs), whose compassion, expertise, and dedication transform care for those we serve.

This year, the Canadian Nurses Association theme for National Nursing Week, May 11-17, is The Power of Nurses to Transform Health. The College of Nurses of Ontario is honouring the profession through their theme, A Lifetime of Care, and globally, the International Council of Nurses has announced the theme for International Nurses Day on May 12 (which is also Florence Nightingale’s birthday) as Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives, which has been adopted by the RNAO.

At Yee Hong, we are celebrating all of our nurses and care team members for all that they bring to their residents, clients, and families.

We are grateful for the calm reassurance, advocacy, dignity, and person-centred care they show our residents, clients, and families through every stage of life. The power of nursing and care is visible at Yee Hong, especially in the trust families place in us and in the outcomes we achieve together.
