Throughout the COVID-19 crisis, Yee Hong has received many notes of appreciation from our residents, families and volunteers, and we are delighted to share some of them with you in this occasional series.

Thank you for taking the time away from your family so you could be with our mother/grandmother/great-grandmother. Our hearts feel so full and we walked away from the parking lot knowing that she is not just doing well – but is cared for as if she is a member of your own family. Collectively, we have been feeling the guilt of not being able to celebrate this momentous birthday with her – what you organized for us today means more than you know. – Lisa Chak

I’d appreciate you to pass on our ‘thank you to the 5th floor staff at Yee Hong Scarborough McNicoll. They have always been very professional, caring and understanding towards both residents and their family. During this time of unprecedented crises, while not being able to see them at work personally, I can only imagine their extra work load on the floor, not to mention the mental stress of preventing an outbreak at Yee Hong. – From a family member

It is a very testing time for everyone, especially for frontlines. Please do convey my wishes & thanks to your all your staff, particularly on the 5th floor, for doing a very good job in keeping the residents safe. Thanks for looking out for my mom too. I took this photo at our Flower Dome, a conservatory, when Sakura flowers were brought in as an exhibition. Hope it will bring some cheer in these dark times. This conservatory is now closed until further notice. Singapore is also having a partial lockdown like you all. – From an oversea family
