On November 27, 2025, the Yee Hong Peter K Kwok Hospice celebrated its fifth anniversary.

The event brought together representatives from the Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation Board, Ontario Health Toronto Region Palliative Care Implementation Team, Scarborough Health Network Palliative Care team, Yee Hong Centre divisional and corporate leaders, the Hospice team, valued volunteers, all three levels of government.

Joining the celebration were the Honourable Raymond Cho, Minister for Seniors and Accessibility and MPP, Scarborough North; Jonathan Tsao, MPP, Don Valley North; and Jamaal Myers, City of Toronto Councillor, Scarborough North. Judy Yeung, a representative from MP Shaun Chen’s office, brought a letter of acknowledgement and congratulations.

Since opening its doors, on November 3, 2020, the Yee Hong Peter K Kwok Hospice has provided compassionate care to more than 1,000 residents, ensuring every individual is cared for with comfort, dignity, and love.

The hospice is the only hospice in Scarborough and serves residents from the Greater Toronto Area. Rooted in compassion and inclusivity, the Hospice welcomes individuals of all cultural, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds. There are no fees for care or programs.

To celebrate this occasion and secure the hospice’s long-term sustainability, the Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation has set an ambitious goal to establish a $3 million Endowment Fund in support of ongoing operations.

Through the generosity of donors, this campaign will sustain the Yee Hong Peter K Kwok Hospice, and the care and services provided, for generations to come.
