Yee Hong Endowment Fund: Leaving a Legacy
The Yee Hong Endowment Fund is a great way for families, alumni, businesses and others to make a long-term investment in Yee Hong services and nursing homes. This permanent, self-sustaining fund will ensure excellence and innovation at Yee Hong for years to come.
Ways to give to the Endowment Fund:
- Gifts of cash, securities or other property provide the Endowment with immediate financial contribution.
- A pledge allows donors to give more generously over time. Usually, payment is made within five years of the original commitment, with the exception of gifts through wills and estate plans.
- Matching Many corporations encourage employee philanthropy by matching or multiplying their employees’ gifts to the Endowment. Before you make a gift, you may want to ask whether your employer participates in such a program.
- Planned giving through your will or estate plan – one of the easiest and most popular ways to give. Your gift may be made in your name or to remember a loved one. When you decide to remember the Yee Hong Endowment Fund in your will, please notify the Foundation.
What is an Endowment Gift?
An endowment gift is one where the initial principal donation remains invested for a period of ten years or in perpetuity, allowing the donation to have an impact over a long period of time. Each year the income from investment is used to support Yee Hong’s programs and services.
You can also direct your endowment gift for a particular service or program. For donation and inquiries, please contact the Foundation office at 416-321-0777 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
